HEAD OF SCHOOL - ST LAWRENCE

Required for April 2019 (ideally)  Dependent on strengths / experience – potential for additional responsibility around school improvement planning and delivery across LWF

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS

Grade G3 Point 6 - £17,007 pro rata per annum

32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.  Temporary until August 2019 - will be reviewed in line with school's needs

We are seeking Learning Support Assistant‘s (TA’s) to work across the Federation initially at St Bernard’s School, Louth.  We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and creative practitioners with a commitment to supporting the development of young people with learning difficulties within this Federation. The applicants should have energy for supporting positive behaviour, communication and complex needs and have a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Experience of working in special education is essential.

The purpose of these roles is to work with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child’s EHCP where appropriate and / or groups of children as directed by the teacher.  To provide support across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning.

This vacancy is advertised as a temporary post and will be reviewed in August 2019 depending on the school’s needs.

APPRENTICE LSA VACANCY

National Apprentice minimum wage

32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - to start ASAP

We are seeking an Apprentice Learning Support Assistant (TA) to work across the Federation initially at St Lawrence school, Horncastle. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative practitioner with a commitment to supporting the development of young people with learning difficulties within this Federation.

During the apprenticeship you will be assigned an Assessor and you will complete a Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning. You may also be required to complete Literacy, Numeracy and IT Functional Skills (this will be determined by existing qualifications).

LWF ACADEMY ADVOCATES (GOVERNORS)

WE NEED YOU!!

DO YOU HAVE TIME TO GIVE YOUR SUPPORT?

  • We have 6 meetings per year, alternate between St Lawrence School and St Bernard’s School sites
  • Meetings are usually on a Tuesday between 5pm and 7pm
  • You will need to be able to commit to at least 2 visits to school – focussing on an area you are interested in, alongside our development plan

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO BE A PARENT ADVOCATE?

  • Be a good listener
  • Be able to ask questions to challenge thinking to aid the development of our schools

TRAINING, SUPPORT AND A FULL INDUCTION ARE AVAILABLE AND YOU WILL BE LINKED WITH AN ADVOCATE BUDDY TO SUPPORT YOU
