COVER SUPERVISOR

Grade 4, 32.5  hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Temporary for 1 year

The LWCT Board are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative practitioner, with a commitment to supporting the development of our young people with a wide range of learning difficulties ranging from moderate to severe/profound across the Federation.

Working alongside the teaching and learning teams across LWF, you will be responsible for providing cover across both St Lawrence and St Bernard’s. The role involves taking sole charge of a group of pupils as required; working with LSA’s. There will be a system of supervision in place from qualified teachers in case of any difficulties.

You will need to have:

  • GCSE or equivalent in 3 -5 subjects to include Maths and English.
  • At least 1 years experience in a school environment.

Postholder must be aware of and adhere to school Health and Safety  / safeguarding policies.

LEAD EDUCATION CARE OFFICERS

Grade 5 £19,819, 37 hours per week, 52weeks per year, permanent

The LWCT Board are looking for 2 enthusiastic, motivated and innovative practitioners, with a commitment to supporting the development of our young people with a wide range of learning difficulties ranging from moderate to severe/profound across the Federation and beyond.

Working alongside the Principal Education Care Officer, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and key working for young people, who access the Maples. The Maples provides educational residential provision for children and young people, alongside short breaks working in conjunction with Social Care and Health.

A shift system is in operation including evenings and weekends.  Suitable qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3. Experience of staff supervision, knowledge of National Care Standards and previous experience of working with children within a care/residential environment beneficial. Successful applicants will be asked to undertake training, induction and observation in the setting. Minimum age 21 years.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Grade G3 Point 6 - £17,007 pro rata per annum, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.  Temporary for 1 year.

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (TA) to work across the Federation initially at St Lawrence School, Horncastle.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative practitioner with a commitment to supporting the development of young people with learning difficulties within this Federation. The applicant should have energy for supporting positive behaviour, communication and complex needs and have a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Experience of working in special education is essential.

The purpose of these roles is to work with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child’s EHCP where appropriate and / or groups of children as directed by the teacher.  To provide support across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning.

LWF ACADEMY ADVOCATES (GOVERNORS)

WE NEED YOU!!

DO YOU HAVE TIME TO GIVE YOUR SUPPORT?

  • We have 6 meetings per year, alternate between St Lawrence School and St Bernard’s School sites
  • Meetings are usually on a Tuesday between 5pm and 7pm
  • You will need to be able to commit to at least 2 visits to school – focussing on an area you are interested in, alongside our development plan

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO BE A PARENT ADVOCATE?

  • Be a good listener
  • Be able to ask questions to challenge thinking to aid the development of our schools
